These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By creating an account, booking, attending a session, or using our materials, you agree to these Terms.
2) Definitions
- Client: The person who purchases the services (usually a parent/guardian).
- Student: The person who receives tuition.
- Services: Online tutoring (1:1 or group), assessments, resources, homework support and related offerings.
- Session: A scheduled live lesson delivered online.
- Plans: Packages, subscriptions or blocks of hours.
3) Eligibility & Account
- You must be 18+ to contract with us. Parents/guardians contract on behalf of under-18 students.
- You confirm the information provided during sign-up/booking is accurate and kept up to date.
- We may refuse or terminate service for misuse, non-payment or safeguarding concerns.
4) What we provide
- Subjects: Primarily GCSE Maths and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), including Foundation, Higher, Combined and Triple Science pathways.
- Exam boards: AQA, Edexcel, OCR etc. We align to publicly available specifications but are not affiliated with any exam board.
- Outcomes: We aim to build confidence and skills. We do not guarantee grade outcomes, offers or exam results.
5) Bookings, Rescheduling & Cancellations
- Scheduling: Sessions must be booked in advance via our platform or by contacting us.
- Rescheduling by client:
- 1:1 sessions: ≥24 hours’ notice → no charge; <24 hours → session is chargeable.
- Group sessions: places are limited; no rescheduling within 24 hours.
- Lateness/No-shows: Sessions end at the scheduled time. Late arrivals or no-shows are charged in full.
- Rescheduling by us: We may reschedule for tutor illness/technical issues. A like-for-like alternative will be offered as soon as possible.
- Public holidays: Sessions may run or be rescheduled by agreement.
6) Prices, Payments & Billing
- Prices are listed in GBP (£) and may change with notice (changes do not affect pre-paid bookings).
- Payment methods: Card/Direct Debit/Bank Transfer (as offered at checkout).
- Subscriptions: Renew automatically on the billing date (monthly/termly). Cancel any time before the next renewal to avoid further charges.
- Blocks of hours: Pre-paid blocks must be used within the stated validity period.
- VAT: Charged if applicable.
- Failure to pay: We may suspend services until payment is received.
7) Refunds & Cooling-Off
- Cooling-off (UK Consumers): You have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance contracts.
- If you request tutoring to begin within this period, you expressly consent to immediate service and acknowledge that the cooling-off right may be partially or fully lost once the service is provided.
- Refund eligibility:
- Sessions cancelled by us with no suitable alternative → full refund for the affected session(s).
- Sessions missed/cancelled by you within the chargeable window → no refund.
- Subscriptions already used in part → pro-rata refunds are generally not issued unless required by law.
- Refunds are processed back to the original payment method.
8) Trial Lessons & Promotions
- Trial lessons (if offered) are one per student unless stated otherwise.
- Promotions/discounts cannot be combined and may be withdrawn at any time.
9) Conduct & Academic Integrity
- Be respectful during sessions. Abusive, discriminatory or disruptive behaviour is prohibited.
- We do not complete assignments, controlled assessments, coursework or exams for students.
- Plagiarism or academic misconduct will result in termination without refund.
10) Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
- Ensure a suitable, quiet study environment and reliable internet.
- For under-18s, a responsible adult is responsible for arrangements, punctuality and adherence to these Terms.
- We may request the parent/guardian is contactable during sessions for safeguarding.
11) Safeguarding & Recording
- Our tutors are vetted in line with UK safeguarding standards (e.g., DBS checks where appropriate).
- To protect students and tutors, sessions may be recorded for safeguarding, quality and training.
- Recordings are confidential, retained securely and not shared except where legally required or to protect vital interests.
- You must not record sessions without our prior written consent.
12) Technology & Access
- Minimum requirements: stable internet, a device with webcam/microphone and browser compatibility.
- You are responsible for your device, antivirus and parental controls.
- We are not liable for issues caused by your equipment/connectivity.
13) Materials & Intellectual Property
- All lesson materials, worksheets, videos, slides and website content are protected by copyright and remain our or our licensors’ IP.
- You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for your own study. No redistribution, resale or public sharing.
14) Privacy & Data Protection
- We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Please read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details on how we collect, store and use data, your rights, and contact details for data requests.
- By using our services, you consent to the processing as described in those policies.
15) Third-Party Tools & Links
- We may use platforms such as Zoom/Google Meet/Teams, online whiteboards and resource sites. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.
- Links to external websites do not constitute endorsement; we are not responsible for their content.
16) Results Disclaimer
- Tutoring supports learning but does not guarantee specific grades, school places or exam outcomes. Progress depends on multiple factors including attendance, engagement and independent study.
17) Limitation of Liability
- We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Services is limited to the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (e.g., lost opportunities, exam entry fees, travel costs).
18) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims or losses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
19) Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate services immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, behave abusively, or if safeguarding concerns arise. Any outstanding fees remain payable.
20) Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., internet outages, platform failures, tutor illness, strikes, extreme weather).
21) Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.

25) Miscellaneous
